mPowermentZone Ministries was conceived in the mind of then-Minister R.D. Vance in Memphis, TN. Its initial purpose was to serve as a resource consortium for small churches and para-church ministries. Elevating the minds of ministry workers beyond small church mentality to become effective in global ministry.
During the original inception, the name Assembly of the Temples of the Living God was used. Because of a shifting from developing a large fellowship to simple ministry, the name change to mPowermentZone Ministries focusses on each component of ministry: preaching, teaching, evangelism and music.
mPowermentZone Ministries is a Christian organization that espouses a belief in the manifestation of Spirit. We are affiliated with the United Churches of God in Christ and Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ. Although we are not a "Spiritual" Church, we do believe/confirm:
** God is a spirit and they that worship Him must do so in spirit and truth.
** Spirit was never born therefore Spirit can never die.
** Out of one blood came all flesh.
** All life is a manifestation of God; just different degrees of manifestation.
** The fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man.
To that end we do maintain:
*** The Holy Scriptures are essential to our salvation, sanctification and eternal life.
*** The biblical teaching for believers to receive the baptism & gift of the Holy Ghost as power endowed from God.
*** The ordinances of the Christian Church being: Water Baptism, Holy Communion and Foot Washing.
*** The spiritual gifts according to 2nd Corinthians 12:1-12 and ministry offices of Ephesians 4:11-12 all for the work of the ministry and edification of Christ's Church.
